Kuwait’s first official bossaball event “Dare to Fly” on the 1st of July, organized by Bossaball Q8 and GUST (Gulf University for Science and Technology Kuwait), was a success.

European demo players showed off their skills and the first local Bossaball team was presented to the audience, national press and tv.

Red Bull sponsored the event.
On the following images you can see that the samba referee scoreboard and dj booth was installed on the legendary “Red Bull Defender” all purpose vehicle.

Looks like the local demo team, although still pretty young, is coming up to speed.

As you can see, the ball control foot skills  of some of these South East Asian bossaball players are developing in a pretty unique way. The style is closely related to “Sepak Takraw“, which is a century-old local kick volleyball tradition. This makes their kick approach different from European and Brazilian soccer and juggling related bossaball styles.

We are really looking forward to see this style advance and develop into a special local flavour.
