As we already posted here before, bossaball was invited at the dutch fanbase site “Oranjecamping” in Switzerland during the EURO 2008 UEFA European football Championship.

One day, various ex-international soccer players from the Netherlands paid a visit to the fans of the national team and were spending some time on the domain.

They saw some people playing bossaball and just couldn’t resist.
They jumped onto the bossaball court and started having a ball.

Kuwait’s first official bossaball event “Dare to Fly” on the 1st of July, organized by Bossaball Q8 and GUST (Gulf University for Science and Technology Kuwait), was a success.

European demo players showed off their skills and the first local Bossaball team was presented to the audience, national press and tv.

Red Bull sponsored the event.
On the following images you can see that the samba referee scoreboard and dj booth was installed on the legendary “Red Bull Defender” all purpose vehicle.

Bossaball was featured on the Dutch National Police Sports Day (Landelijke Politie Sportdag) in Utrecht, Netherlands on June 24.

Over 500 officers from police corpses all over the country gathered up to compete in a bossaball tournament.  Matches were played simultaneously on 3 courts.

Looks like the local demo team, although still pretty young, is coming up to speed.

As you can see, the ball control foot skills  of some of these South East Asian bossaball players are developing in a pretty unique way. The style is closely related to “Sepak Takraw“, which is a century-old local kick volleyball tradition. This makes their kick approach different from European and Brazilian soccer and juggling related bossaball styles.

We are really looking forward to see this style advance and develop into a special local flavour.

We received some pictures of last weekend’s bossaball event on the VERÃO CAIXA FÃ festival in Lisbon, Portugal.

This is some bossaball artwork ( bossaball logos, flyers, posters ) coming from Holland by the designers of Diep Arnhem.

A group of students @ the KHLim ( member of the University Association Catholic University Leuven, Belgium ) is organizing a sports event, named AllStars Peer 2008, on the first of May. The aim is to present upcoming sports and games like Snowtubing, Rolski Laser Biathlon, and BeachTennis to their fellow students. AllStars Peer 2008 also appears to feature Bossaball.

Nevobo ( Dutch Volleyball League ) sets up a bossaball tour in The Netherlands.

You can try out bossaball for yourself on following dates.
Talented players will be selected for the demonstration teams.

Google just pointed me at an animated gif presentation hidden somewhere deep in www.bossaball.com.sg.

It’s a collection of pictures from bossaball events organized by our friends from Singapore in the past few months and impressions of the European Summer Tour 2007 some of their players participated in.

Today we want to show you this nice little bossaball court clay model somebody crafted.
It appeared next to a small article presenting bossaball on www.ragazza.es.
Does anybody know who made this and if there are more images ?
